Need a yoga fix on Kauai? Meet Anna Myers (far right in photo). She has been a fitness professional for 35 years. Several years ago she introduced Yoganna, her form of yoga, to the north shore of Kauai. It is a safe, and fun, yoga program for all body types. It is NOT a traditional yoga for advanced yogiis. Participants will breathe, stretch and tone with Hawaiian aloha.
As a way to give back to the community she loves, Anna offers Yoganna by the Sea on the last Thursday of every month. All of the proceeds go to charity.
This fundraiser workout is held at Anini Beach, a ten minute drive from Honu Point. Look for the pavillions. There are generally 3 to 20 willing participants depending on the weather. Anna doesn’t advertise but word-of-mouth generally does the trick.
If you are interested in contributing to a worthy cause and would enjoy participating in a fun workout, simply show up at Anini at 9:00 AM for an hour workout on the last Thursday of any month. Any donation (even as small as $5.00) to help those in need will be appreciated.
I’m betting you will feel good about exercising at one of the most beautiful places on earth. And, who knows, you may just make a new Kauai friend.
In addition, Anna is also teaching CHAIR YOGANNA at the Princeville Community Center every Wednesday at 10:00 am.
