Visit Kauai’s Princeville Botanical Gardens
If you’re into lush foliage, exotic flowers, unusual fruit trees, beehives, chocolate, and a good time you must visit Kauai’s Princeville Botanical Gardens. Friends of mine, Joe and Jan Marie, own over 8 acres of Paradise and have opened up their property for tours. During these three-hour educational tours you’ll be treated to gourmet chocolate, honey, seasonal fruit samplings from the land, and a delightful guided walk through the gardens. You’ll learn about native Hawaiian flora, tropical medicinals, sacred flowers, and food plants. This garden is intensely planted with some of the most unique plants on the island. You will not be disappointed.
Guided walking and chocolate tasting tours are offered four days a week. On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and Friday the chocolate tasting tours run from 9:30 to 12:30 in the morning. Tours are $95. Private Tours are also available. They run on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at 1:30. Check the website for pricing. There are no self-guided tours. Reservations are required.
Princeville Botanical Gardens is just outside of the Princeville Resort Community, a 5 minute drive from Honu Point. Trip Advisor ranks it #2 out of 25 things to do in Princeville. Give them a call at (808) 634-5505 or check out their website at http://kauaibotanicalgardens.com/ There you may enjoy a video where Joe and Jan Marie tell about their passion for this project.

Hello,
I am coming December 21st to 28th.
Will you be open then for tours?
Aloha Cathy. You have left a comment on my blog post, which is not the garden’s website. I’m sure they will be open, but call or email them directly. It’s a great tour!
