Want To Go Hiking On Kauai But Feel Like You Need A Guide?
Do you want to go hiking on Kauai but feel like you need a guide? Hike Kauai With Me may just be the company you’re looking for. Eric Rohlffs started the company ten years ago and has now hired a few capable, trusted guides to continue his vision of taking guests to out of the way places on the Garden Island. For the past 13 years, Eric has been putting together a detailed map of Kauai and all of its hidden gems; scouring every corner of every narrow valley; from secret waterfalls to unknown swimming holes to private vistas. He and his guides take pride in showing the side of Kauai that many people imagine, but rarely get to see with the typical, run-of-the-mill tours. Whether it is scrambling up a stream bed, strolling down a trail, or scaling a waterfall, his knowledge of the island will prove invaluable.
Typical Tours are 3 to 4 hours long. A few suggested tours are:
Blue Hole – Mt. Wai’ale’ale Crater (one of the wettest spots on Earth) Pictured above
Waimea Canyon
Alakai Swamp
Kalalau Valley
Koke’e State Park
Kaapolo Tunnel Hike
Wailua Falls
Hike and Stand Up Paddle Jungle Tours
Here are a few excerpts of reviews from the website:
“I have traveled and explored 51 countries. Hike Kauai with me was the most complete and “breath-taking” adventure my wife and I have experienced in our many years of hiking.”
“My husband and I had decided early on that Hawaii was going to be the eventual destination for our honeymoon. We are so thankful that in our online search we came across Hike Kauai With Me. We were extremely excited for our trip, but at the same time a bit overwhelmed as to where to start. We quickly learned that when you have a person as experienced and passionate about a place as Eric that you don’t need to worry about a single thing.”
“I never thought we would hire a hiking guide to take Mike and I out, however sometimes you have to do the responsible thing and be safe out on the trails. While in Kauai we wanted to see Kauai in its natural beauty, not beaten down touristy hikes (which are still beautiful, just crowded).”
Trip Adviser awarded Hike Kauai With Me its Certificate of Excellence in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
